I can’t take the cover of the drain off..it doesn’t come off. It takes a good hour for the water to completely drain. I just moved into this apartment 2 months ago! Is there a miracle liquid to pour down the drain to clear it?

try a plunger it may help if not i would tell your landlord and have them come fix it before you spend your money on it.

The kitchen sink isn’t completely clogged but it takes FOREVER to drain, like overnight forever. We just replace the sink and the pipes right under it were clear so that’s not the problem. And yes, it was clogging before we replaced it but we redid our kitchen and were kind of hoping there was just a little clog right there, but no, it must be further down. I just poured professional strength draino and I am waiting for that to go down then I will pour boiling water. Any more suggestions?
I just want to get this clear so I can officially start using my new kitchen!!

get it snaked by a plumber, I don’t put any trust in chemicals. The advertizements sound good but I’ve had to go in behind someone that used chem’s that didn’t work, so you will be wasting your money

A week ago, I noticed my shower drain had clogged up. I removed the drain cover, but accidentally dropped a broken handle down there (from my squeegee shower scraper), and now I can’t get the coat hanger down there to get the clog. Any advice?

I have tried everything to unclog my sink. The sink is on the ground floor of my apartment. The trap and the pipes leading to the ground are PVC and I have removed all of them and there are no clogs. It is not immediately clear to me how I would even get to the pipes that lead into the ground (some kind of metal pipe).
I have tried Drano, which will work temporarily but it will quickly clog again and I have tried Zep Commercial Drain Cleaner (which is an enzyme based cleaner which also worked well on my shower, but seems to make things worse here).
Is there anything I can easily do myself? Is there some kind of cleaner that works well on kitchen sinks?

In the long run I think you should go with a Pro.. Something loke Roto-Router, you dont know how long the sewer line is.
